It is the home of the Speech from the Throne, which is delivered by the Lieutenant Governor at the beginning of each session and outlines the government’s plans and priorities for the coming year. The Legislative Assembly is also the site of the annual budget speech, which outlines the government’s financial plans for the coming year.

Overall, the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia plays a crucial role in the governance of the province and is an important institution in the lives of the people of British Columbia.
