Chiropractic care is not only useful at resolving traumatic injuries, but also providing comprehensive wellness care. As a chiropractor, I don’t just heal the spine, but the entire body: from backs, wrists, knees, and necks, to hips, ankles, jaws, and muscle problems. Ultimately, my goal is to enable you to live life to the fullest, which is why I’m so passionate about this profession.
Chiropractic and Whiplash
Whiplash is most often associated with car and traumatic accidents. If your head moves forward and backward abruptly, your muscles and ligaments can be injured or strained, leading to the tell-tale pain and inflammation in the neck and shoulders. Typically, I will treat whiplash with very gentle chiropractic adjusting, allowing pain and inflammation to diminish, and then use a range of different therapies. I will often follow up by prescribing home exercises that include stretching and then, some strengthening.
Chiropractic and Arthritis
Arthritis is a degenerative condition of your joints, and the causes of it are varied. Restoring stability to the joints is a top priority. I will often prescribe specific exercises to ensure the tissues at the joint are working efficiently, and removing unnecessary stress on the joint, followed by special nutritional tips for reducing pain and aiding tissue pliability.
Chiropractic and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel is caused by a variety of factors, one of which is repetitive strain injuries. The nerves that run to the wrist are essentially pinched off, causing numbness and pain in your hand. Any nerve impingement can complicate the problem, so reducing inflammation through the use of exercises, nutritional supplements, and manual adjustments may be prescribed. Once function starts to come back, more exercise may be recommended to strengthen the area.
Chiropractic and Fibromyalgia
If you have chronic muscle aches and pains in the same places, you may suffer from fibromyalgia. Since nerve interference can cause such pain, adjustments to spine to ensure proper flow of impulses is essential. Often I will follow this will a gentle exercise regime, as well as nutritional supplements to increase energy and promote healing.
